The story of Perry


Barrel aged pear cider with lemon verbena

Perry is a barrel aged pear cider with lemon verbena. We pressed and naturally fermented the aromatic Doyenné du Comice pears, without adding any sulfites or enzymes. To finish it off we put this cider on oaken barrels for 5 months. As we did not add any sulfites, Perry turned out quite a bit more sour than you might expect of a pear cider, super refreshing with lovely citrus tones. A cider with a lot of flavour, perfectly made to serve cold on a sunny day.

Perry was created in collaboration with ‘de Waalgaard,’ a self-harvest food forest to be. Waalgaard is an older pear orchard that is taken over by Arbres. De Waalgaard is very close knit to our own philosophy and methods, as we both work towards a new standard of agriculture. Full of life, with a lot of space for people as well as nature. Hence, we decided it was a great opportunity for us to work together and make this lovely cider.
